Wire mesh paneling and chain link fencing are both good fencing options, though they have slight differences that make them both suitable for different applications. While chain link fences are designed for outside use, wire mesh paneling can be used both inside and outside. One of the reasons for this is the size and portability of wire mesh. The average panel of wire mesh weighs about 55 pounds while a roll of chain link fence can weigh up to 600 pounds. In addition, chain link fence usually comes in fairly standardized sizes, making it less adaptable than wire mesh, which comes in a variety of sizes.
In the event that the fence needs to be relocated, the task is much more easily done with wire mesh than with chain link fencing, once again due to the standardization of chain link fence which limits its adaptability. Wire mesh is also preferable to chain link in the event that the fence needs to cover a large height, as mesh can be stacked with the addition of support posts.
Overall, while both types of fences have their benefits, wire mesh paneling offers more flexibility, making it great for use in a variety of applications.
